The
principles of SRT are based on the belief
that we are spiritual beings living in a physical
body through which we can learn particular lessons
for the growth of our soul. Everything that
we experience is valuable to us but the lessons
to be learnt in our physical lives can often
be traumatic and painful if we do not have a
basic understanding of where we have come from
and why we are here.
The soul cannot die. It is a perfect expression
of God and by "God" I mean the omnipotent
being, the Divine presence, All That Is, Prime
Creator, The Field of Consciousness - or whatever
term you may be comfortable with. SRT is not
about religion and is therefore a healing modality
which may be experienced by all - whatever religion,
colour or creed.
Each time a soul incarnates - and it may have
done so hundreds and perhaps thousands of times
- it sets itself challenges that it wants to
master. Sometimes those challenges have been
ones that it has not be able to master in previous
lifetimes, hence our tendency for repeat patterning
in some areas of our lives.
The soul accumulates positive and negative energies
from the time of its creation. These energies
come with us in every incarnation and the negative
ones can adversely affect us, often blocking
us from receiving our greatest good, health,
wealth or happiness.
Each person's experiences are unique and whilst
SRT can clear the programmes that stand in the
way of a soul's healing, the pathway followed
is up to the soul itself. However, every experience
we create for ourselves can be seen as a valuable
learning opportunity for our soul's growth.
Example:
In previous lives we may
well have tried to surmount the same challenges
as we face now but to no avail. We may then
carry these lessons into our next life and try
again to respond to the challenge. Unfortunately
we are not always able to do this with ease.
We make promises, pledges and vows and carry
imprinted programming that can hold us back
from achieving the greatness that we have the
potential to become.
Taking
holy orders as an example, we are quite likely
to have taken numerous religious vows to prove
our worthiness to God. For instance, we may
have taken vows of poverty.
These vows stay with us and are lodged in our
subconscious mind and in our DNA. Every time
we try to make money in this life we are blocked
because our subconscious mind recollects the
vows which have never been revoked. Since the
subconscious mind is stronger than the conscious
mind it effectively over-rules it and despite
our best efforts we stay poor or continue to
have difficulties in making or keeping money!
