What is Hatha Yoga?

Yoga is the science of right living. It works on all aspects of the person: the physical, vital, mental, emotional, psychic and spiritual.

Yoga is a means of harmonising the body, mind and emotions. This is the practice to balance both energies, the masculine and feminine as well as mind and body, into union through the practice of breathing and movement (asana). Using both, the masculine and feminine promotes well-being and helps to develop strength and flexibility.

The class consists of:
Pranayama(Breathing exercises) · Yoga asana (Poses/postures) · Relaxation and · Meditation (Chakra and Yoga Nidra).

Overall helps balance and clam the nervous system leaving you feel energised, clam and ready to face challenges with a clearer perspective.

You do not have to be flexible to do yoga, you just have to come with openness and the rest will take care of itself.

Through my classes I will share with you the benefits of all the practices so you can have the knowledge and confidence to practice yoga in your daily life. Overall I would like you to leave feeling calm, centred and positive.

Please do not eat at least 2-3 hours before practicing yoga. This will help you move and stay in your postures with ease.


About Jessica:
A few years ago my life became very imbalanced and it was through the steady practice of yoga and meditation that helped me create internal space, find stillness and acquire the emotional intelligence to heal. Since then I have trained to become a yoga teacher and take time out to focus on my personal development and yogic studies. I have trained in Hatha Yoga, Swami Satyananda Saraswati lineag in India.
